Dr. Bernard is a Clinical Assistant Professor at the Centre hospitalier de l’Université de Montréal (CHUM) with a particular interest in clinical trials for inflammatory bowel disease (IBD). His research focuses on clinical drug response, endoscopic monitoring and clinical trial methodology in gastroenterology.
Dr. Bernard is also interested in the gut microbiome and host immune responses in IBD. He co-led a centre dedicated to the outpatient management of IBD patients in Montreal (CMIIM) and is currently an active member of the CHUM IBD Centre.
Dr. Bernard also contributed to the development of the Masterclass program, helping to shape its content, select speakers and support its dissemination.
