CHUM IBD Centre: Providing Excellence in IBD Care, Research and Education
The CHUM IBD Centre is a leading centre for inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) care, research and education in Montreal and across Quebec. Based at the Centre hospitalier de l’Université de Montréal (CHUM), we provide specialized patient care, pioneer innovative research, and deliver Canada’s foremost French-language gastroenterology training program.
Our multidisciplinary team includes gastroenterologists, surgeons, radiologists, pathologists, nurses, nutritionists, psychologists and research coordinators. Caring for thousands of people living with IBD places us at the forefront of clinical innovation. We operate Quebec’s only dedicated IBD emergency endoscopy room, enabling rapid intervention when patients need it most. Our team also leads 19 ongoing studies and multiple clinical trials, helping to transform treatment approaches and improve patient outcomes.

The CHUM IBD Centre serves patients throughout Quebec, offering in-person IBD care in Montreal at the Centre hospitalier de l’Université de Montréal, as well as remote care through telehealth services.
